The Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The Greater Saint John Community Foundation launches the 22nd Annual ‘Bare Necessities’ campaign

Saint John, NB, December 5, 2022

The Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The Greater Saint John Community Foundation launched today the 22nd Annual ‘Bare Necessities’ campaign which will run from December 5th to December 23rd, 2022.

As in previous years, The Chamber is collecting monetary donations through the Greater Saint John Community Foundation to provide toiletries and hygiene products – the bare necessities – to be donated to community organizations during the holiday season.

“We are partnering with the foundation again this year because it allows us to have a broader reach in the region, and to help more people in a more efficient manner,” says David Duplisea, CEO with the Chamber. “Last year we were able to provide funding to The Coverdale Centre for Women and the Outflow Shelter for Men, we look forward to helping more groups again this year. We thank all those individuals and organizations that donated towards prior campaigns, and we ask for your support again this year”, added Duplisea.

The Greater Saint John Community Foundation always appreciates support from the individual donors and local businesses. “The charities receiving the funds do such meaningful work in our community. I know that this support will be appreciated and benefit those in need of a helping hand this winter,” stated Kelly Evans, President, and CEO with the Greater Saint John Community Foundation.
