Appoints Interim CEO

Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce a leading organization dedicated to
promoting and supporting local businesses, is pleased to announce the
appointment of Carole Cunningham as the interim Chief Executive Officer.
With over 30 years working with the Chamber, Carole brings a wealth of
expertise and experience to the role.
“Carole has demonstrated exceptional support to the Chamber as well as to its
members. Her extensive background with the Chamber of Commerce/Board of
Trade movement will be instrumental in continuing to drive the Chamber’s
mission forward, and ensuring its continued success until a new CEO is found.”

Throughout her career, Carole has held various positions with the
Chamber. 30 years with the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce (Saint
John Board of Trade) and 15 years with the Montreal Board of Trade as the
Director of Information Services. Her current position with The Chamber is the
Director of Events & Administration.
In 2013 Carole was the recipient of the Saint John Board of Trade’s Chair’s
Award. The Chair’s award is presented annually to a company, organization, or
individual that has demonstrated substantial long-term contribution to or impact
on the economic progress of the community.
“I am honored to have been chosen as the interim CEO of the Saint John
Region Chamber of Commerce,” said Carole Cunningham. “I am excited to
work alongside our board of directors and staff to continue to collaborate with
our members to create opportunities for local businesses to thrive. Together,
we will strengthen our community and contribute to its economic prosperity.”
Carole’s appointment follows the recent announcement of David Duplisea’s
retirement. Her extensive experience with the chamber movement will be
invaluable in guiding the Chamber moving forward.
The Board of Directors is confident that Carole will continue to keep the
organization on track as we carry out the strategic plan and goals for the
organization.
